Hi, I am Tobi Jane Panter. I am registered as an herbalist (AHG), acupuncturist (R.Ac.) , and Jin Shin DoÆ Bodymind Acupressureô practitioner in Vancouver, B.C. Combining these modalities along with Barefoot Doctor techniques, I work with clients on both the physiological and the energetic levels to effect change. These Asian-based modalities provide a holistic framework that guides me in my service, but ultimately, I know that true healing emerges from an individual's journey within. Consequently, my aim is twofold: to provide relief from discomfort and pain, and to nurture the innate wisdom of our deepest knowing self.
Beyond my formal training, my approach to healing has been influenced by mentors in a number of fields. The foundation for my herbal style was set with Michael & Lesley Tierra in the Santa Cruz mountains of California. Frequent sojourns in Colombia, South America, have exposed me to the ways of local indigenous Taitas, and the magical plants of the south. I have also incorporated into my practice techniques from some of the bodymind modalities in the Western psychosomatic field.
A former college adult education instructor, I see education as empowerment, and I continue to teach health-related workshops and classes. I offer my services in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
