Pathology and Disease Course

This course is unique in that Dr. Gascoigne is also trained in and practices acupuncture. Thus, he wrote the course with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in mind, listing diseases from both Western and TCM perspectives.

Students will learn:

• Philosophical differences between conventional and alternative medicine
• State and understand common terms, procedures and treatments of conventional medicine and its affect on treatment by alternative medicine
• Explain appropriate courses of action to take in particular clinical situations
• How to relate conventional disease labels to ideas of alternative medicine

Included is the textbook The Clinical Medical Guide - A Holistic Perspective by Stephen Gascoigne.

This course includes testing material for the student to complete. The East West School grades and reviews the exams and a Certificate of Completion is awarded upon successful completion.
