Behold, our new website!
Many of you -- especially my own students -- will notice that it looks considerably different. Our goal has been to give it the emphasis, look and feel befitting one of the finest herbal training courses in the country.
Further, it more clearly reflects what makes our herbal study program stand out from all others: based on more than 35 years of clinical experience, the East West School offers a training in Planetary Herbology. This is an integrated approach to the study of herbal healing incorporating Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic herbal medicine. Our students learn to heal with herbs from around the world utilizing traditional Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Western assessment methodologies. It's a training you won't find anywhere else.
Our site redesign will preserve the online component of education for enrolled students through live chats, discussion forums, and PowerPoint presentations. But I'm excited to tell you that through our new online LMS (Learning Management System), we will be able to offer a more user-friendly student discussion forum, webinars, supplementary articles, lessons and study guides, and soon students will be able to submit their quizzes and essays for grading online!
For other visitors to our site, you will find a brand new downloadable introductory lesson, better site navigation, and a more user-friendly public herb discussion forum.
Of course, if you are like me, sometimes change (especially on computers) can be a little confusing at first. Don't hesitate to call or notify us for any assistance you may need -- after all, herbalists are not expected to be computer nerds as well!
As we settle the content and orient students (and ourselves) to the new site design, we expect this will remain a work in progress for a short while. We ask your patience and diligence in alerting us to any suggestions or comments you may have about the usefulness of the new www.planetherbs.com. Of course, praise is welcome, too!
So once again -- on behalf of myself, Lesley, and the East West School of Planetary Herbology staff, I wish you a very warm welcome to our new home on the Internet. We hope you will visit often and take advantage of the treasure trove of information found here.
