Michael has been offering weekly case studies with coaching and other
teachings on the Private Student Forum. The East West Course is unique in
that it teaches traditional TCM pattern diagnostic methods applied to a
variety of different diseases.
It is necessary for dedicated practitioners, graduates and students of all
levels to regularly, yeh, 'religiously' study and practice the ability to
diagnose using the Four Diagnostic methods. They must then become proficient
in writing out a pattern diagnosis, Treatment Principle and selecting a
representative herbal formula with appropriate modifications based on the
individual symptoms of the patient. One can learn the basic material from printed material such as the course or Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine, but it is virtually impossible for a student to learn how to apply what they have learned without guidance and coaching.
Fortunately the internet makes it possible for this to occur. Michael's case
study is in addition to Susan Kramer's live case studies chat. This is the
most powerful way to remain on track and connected to your studies. Students
who are interested in becoming a professional member of the AHG will have to
demonstrate proficiency in this skill.
It is also a great way for advanced and graduates to continue to grow and
sharpen their skills.
TCM Pattern diagnosis is not easy but if you like mystery games and enjoy
thinking of yourself as a bit of a Sherlock Holmes or whatever the feminine
of that would be, avail yourself of this important part of your East West
Course studies.
